Mature Content: No. With: Aurelian Redmond and Emeline Blakesley Location: Lickskillet Diner When: Fall Time of Day: Early afternoon Aurelian had come into town for a few reasons. He wanted to pick up some foodstuffs at the General Store but also had decided to drop in on the local cafe or diner. Now that his daughter, Clara, was employed there, he felt his duty as a father was to at the very least check the place out . Everything Clara had told him about the place and it's female owner/operator pointed to the site being a fine place for his oldest child to be gainfully employed there. The small bell tinkled a signal the diner had a customer as he opened the front door and stepped into the place. Looking about he saw a few customers eating and/or chatting away. The diner was well arranged and looked clean too. Yes, everything seemed quite encouraging. Oh and then there was the enticing smells of freshly baked bread and other savory dishes. It was enough to make one hungry which sort of was the point of it all anyhow. Removing his hat he then paused to wait and see if - or rather when - someone greeted him. That would no doubt be Mrs. Blakesley as Clara had informed him she was the diner's lone employee at least currently. It didn't take long at all.
Mature Content: Nope Author: Put your OOC username here ONLY if posting with a Shared NPC. With: Emeline Blakesley, Pronto Pike Location: Add specific location information here. When: Spetember / 1875 Time of Day: Late morning. It was a long wait for Sunday, well at least for one Pronto Pike. He had scouted the horses available to rent and picked a nice Sorel gelding for Emeline. He demanded the best saddle and tack because he wanted everything to be just right, and the best they had would be perfect for her. A bath the night before, A clean shirt and trousers, boots brushed clean and waxed, his leather coat wiped down as best he could to remove what dirt and stains he could, especially the blood from the shoulder wound which was a stain that could only be lightened. Lastly he shaved, removing his facial growth of three months. It struck him then that yes, he bathed, he shaved, changed clothes, just not as often as he might, and he realized if he was considering courting her there were some things that would have to change. The stopped him in his tracks. The thought came as natural as the sunrise and it just gave him real pause, he would ave to think on that some. A bath and clean clothes did not change who and what he was, he knew that all well.
Mature Content: No With: Clara and Emmeline Location: Lickskillet Diner When: Fall, mid week Time of Day: Mid afternoon Clara had finished her time at the Lost Lake Ranch, caring for the twins of course. She normally got a wagon ride back to her farm home a few miles outside of town. But on this day she had informed the driver that she had business in town, not to worry about her, and saw to it she was dropped off on what served as Main Street of Kalispell. In one hand she clutched a small gunny sack, amply bulging. She was coming to this baking session prepared, as was her style. The timing was rather fortuitous as when she stepped inside the place, there were currently no customers. Probably anyone eating lunch had long ago finished and left and it was too early yet for most folk to partake of supper. Perfect! That would mean the two of them could concentrate on the point of her visit - baking! She was excited actually. Not that showed on her youthful features though, that was not Clara. "Hello? Miss Emmeline?" she called out. @Bongo
