A Sunday Ride

Recommended Posts

((Sorry, forgot we were on horsies!  It's all good, he can help her off the horse!))

"I look forward to it."  She smiled up at him a bit goofily, longer than necessary as she idly stroked the horse's nose, then she suddenly gasped.  "Oh, and you have to bring this pretty girl by...ask the man at the livery if she is for sale, tell him I might be interested in trade, if he likes pies and such."

She wasn't holding much hope, but maybe in Spring she could just outright buy the animal, then she would just have to worry about boarding it.  "I don't suppose there will be much chance to ride once Winter comes anyway."

Smiling, she gave him another quick kiss on the cheek, maybe brazen, but certainly sincere.  "Thank you, Barnabas."

“No Ma’am, thank you, been a most pleasant day.” He said, taken aback by the kiss, not that it upset him, quite the contrary in fact. I’ll be in fer breakfast and look forward to seein’ you then.”
